I have the honour to transmit to you for the con-
sideration of Mr Secretary Lyttelton a letter which has
been received from Constable Walter Hurry White who tenders
his resignation from the Hong Kong Police Force.
2. Constable White who has completed five years resi- dential service in the Colony, is at present in this country
on nine months leave of absence which leave will expire on
the 21st of July 1905.
3. The above leave has been granted on half pay, none
of which has however been drawn by Constable White.

We hold a voucher for Constable White's return
passage and upon hearing that his resignation has been
accepted we will take the necessary steps for obtaining a refund from the Shipping Company.
5. Mr White's address in this country, which is not mentioned in his letter, is No. 46 Hickman Road, Sparkbrook,
Birmingham.
